A Healing Service will take place the first Wednesday each month at 6:30pm.  If anyone wants or needs prayer, contact Linda Shissler or Anthony Ricchiuto and we will pray for you.  Also, feel free to come and be prayed over and around!

Adult Sunday School will resume September 13 in the Chapel at 11am.  We will conclude the Max Lucado series, "In the Footsteps of the Savior" and then begin the Ray Van Laan series "A Clash of Kingdoms".  Feel free to join in discussion or just to listen following the DVD.  We would love to have you join us!

NOTE: NO Adult Sunday School on September 20 or October 4.

Bible study begins Tuesday, September 8 at 10:30am in the Parlor. Most of us own a Bible; many of us struggle to go further than reading the occasional verse. We sense a deeper message but are unsure how to access it. Jesus declared, God's Word is truth and prayed believers be sanctified through it. (John 17:17) Bible study is the disciplined practice of examining Scripture to understand its meaning, context, and application to everyday life. Unlike simple reading, study allows you to hear God's truth, which equips you to recognize truth from error among competing voices and aids in spiritual growth. Join us!

In 2026, Coffee Time hosts/hostesses are needed for the month of October.  Please see or contact Doris Snyder or Sheryl Smith.

New volunteers are welcome and will be assisted by Sheryl or Doris if needed. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve the church and get to know more of the members.

If you know a member of the church that will be going to college and would like the most up to date information about the scholarship program, please send an email to treasurer@faithuccyork.org. 

The WELL (West End Local Link food bank)

We will be collecting the following items for the WELL in September:

           - canned fruit

           - canned soup

There is always a need for empty egg cartons and personal care items, as well

Devers Elementary School 

Save your "Boxtops for Education" year round. Please place them in the mason jar on the shelves in the parlor.

We will be collecting classroom/school supplies for some of the teachers at Devers again this year. A wish list of items which are needed and more details will be coming soon. Watch for more information.

Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen - Tuna Noodle Casserole makers are needed the second week of every "odd" numbered month (November will be the next month). No formal culinary training required! All ingredients are provided. Please contact Terri Grove at 717.659.1973 if you are interested in making casseroles.

Medical Equipment Is Available - We have medical equipment for your use; potty chairs, shower chairs, canes, walkers, crutches, and wheelchairs. If interested, contact Linda Shissler at 717.225.3538.

For all church activities, additional parking is available in our Atlantic Avenue lot (439 Atlantic Ave). For those who can walk without difficulty, please try to use this lot. As a courtesy to our neighbors, please do not park in front of their homes if there is space in one of our parking lots.

IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER... ...worship and/or Sunday School may be canceled. Cancellations will be given on our church’s answering machine (717-843‑8991), our Facebook page and our church website, when possible. You make the final decision whether it is safe to come to church.
